This is the same section of road with three layers of asphalt. See the cracks along the right hand side of the road in the new layer of asphalt? That happens when there isn't enough support on the side of the road. |

First, they come along a fill in the holes that form after the cracks. Then when that becomes too rough they come back and lay a whole new layer of asphalt. Wouldn't it be more fiscally responsible to build the road with adequate shoulders to begin with? |
